About Family Foodie

Family Foodie’s Mission is to help Bring back Sunday Supper Around the Family Table in every Home.
I was born in Portugal. When I was four years old, my parents immigrated to the United States. I stayed with my Grandparents and lived on their Farm and Vineyard. My best memories from those days were the simplicity of our lives and my Grandmother’s delicious meals. She didn’t use fancy ingredients or gourmet spices but she cooked some of the best food I have ever tasted.
At six years old, I joined my parents in the US. Talk about culture shock, imagine going from a farm to Newark, NJ literally overnight. I quickly adjusted to a new culture, new language and a very different way of life.
I met my husband my first day freshman year in College and we have been blessed with four wonderful children. In our home, time Around the Family Table is the most important time we spend together. Our kitchen table is as much about the food as it is about the memories that are made.
I am a believer that less is more when it comes to cooking. Most of our family meals are created by whatever is in season and at hand in our pantry and fridge. The main ingredient in every dish is Love.
Empowering our families today is more important than ever. I would love nothing more than to help you bring back Sunday Supper Around the Family Table in your home.
I want to encourage you to try a Portuguese Dish….You will be shocked by the simplicity and amazing flavor of Portuguese Recipes.

Da Minha Mesa Para A Sua com Beijinhos,

Isabel

Wow — I just might have to try to cook. Any chance you can include some 5 ingredient recipes that are quick to cook. My hours are crazy.
